Royal Mail explores the fascinating history and traditions of the Tower of London. The miniature sheet, comprising four stamps, focuses on the Tower of London as a notorious state prison. The sheet's background image is an illustration of the North Front of St Thomas's Tower and Traitors' Gate and the stamps feature famous prisoners: Princes Edward and Richard (1st class), Anne Boleyn (1st class), Lady Jane Grey (£2.50) and Sir Walter Raleigh (£2.50).
The BS set comprises four covers that each bear an appropriate handstamp.
