Royal Mail are once again celebrating the Marvel Universe, this time with a stamp issue paying tribute to mutant superheroes, the X-Men. Generations have grown up with these timeless superheroes in comic books and more recently in hugely successful movies. The X-Men franchise celebrates its 60th anniversary in 2023 with their first comic book appearance in the X-Men #1 in 1963.
The Prestige Stamp Booklet comprises twenty-one stamps - all twelve from the stamp issue, the five stamps from the miniature sheet, together with four barcoded Machin Definitives arranged around two labels - five panes in total.
Cover 5 in the Definitive set features the writer and artist John Byrne and bears a Muir of Ord handstamp.
