The latest in the Music Giants series sees Royal Mail celebrating one of Britain's best loved singers, Dame Shirley Bassey.
The miniature sheet comprises four stamps featuring black and white photographs of Dame Shirley Bassey taken during rehearsals and recording sessions. The stamps are: Rehearsing before a concert at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate her 25 years in show business, March 1978 (1st class); During rehearsals before the opening of her season at the Talk of the Town theatre in London, 26 September 1962 (1st class); In the recording studio, 1961 (£2.00) and At Grouse Lodge Studios, Ireland, 2009 (£2.00). The photo on the sheets background is from 1973.
The coin cover encapsulates a 1937 three pence coin, for the year Dame Shirley Bassey was born, and bears a Tiger Bay, Cardiff handstamp.
