Royal Mail are celebrating the art of stamp designer David Gentleman, whose designs have featured on 103 issued stamps - more than any other stamp designer - with a miniature sheet comprising six iconic stamps featuring his work.
The stamps included in the sheet are: National Productivity Year 1962 (2nd class); British Ships 1969 (2nd class); British Trees 1973 (1st class); Social Reformers 1976 (1st class); 900th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings 1966 (£1.70) and 25th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain 1965 (£1.70).
The coin cover features the 2022 miniature sheet and the 6d stamp from the original 1966 900th Anniversary of the Battle of Hastings issue. The cover encapsulates a 1966 Jersey five shilling coin commemorating the Battle of Hastings and bears an Edinburgh handstamp.
