Six stamps have been issued to mark the tenth anniversary of the latest television incarnation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic, world-famous consulting detective. The stamps depict the detective and his faithful companion together with four other characters from the series from the most popular episodes.
The stamps are issued in three se-tenant pairs with leading characters depicted against a relevant background for the characters portrayed. Each stamp also carries the title of a relevant episode.
This cover with its 22ct gold-blocked design, framing an image of the detective in his deerstalker, pipe and spy glass, carries a Sherlock Close, SW18 pictorial 'Question Mark' handstamp. Numbered limited edition of 500.
