The nation’s favourite soap opera became the world’s longest-running TV soap opera in 2010. And now its 60th anniversary is commemorated in eight stamps – 2 x 2nd class, 2 x 1st class; 2 x £1.42 and 2x £1.63 – each of which show two characters from its long history with a representative quote summing up their relationship.
This cover encapsulates a 1960 coin for the series’ debut year, flanked by the famous flying ducks which once graced the living-room wall of the husband and wife depicted on the 2nd class stamp. A 'Soap Opera', Manchester handstamp completes this attractive cover.
