2019 marks the 20th anniversary of the publication of the prize-winning children's book 'The Gruffalo' written in rhyming couplets by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler. With worldwide sales of over 13 million in 59 editions, it quickly became established as a children's classic. The six commemorative stamps issued in two se-tenant strips - three 1st class and three £1.60 - reproduce the original illustrations in story order following the adventures of Mouse in the Deep Dark Wood.
The coin cover encapsulates an Eritrean $1 'Preserve Planet Earth' coin depicting an owl against a woodland background and carries a Broad Oak, Rye handstamp.
