Superheroes have always attracted a loyal following and those featured in the powerful Prestige Stamp Booklets are some of the best known. They began to appear 80 years ago - the anniversary of which has inspired this Royal Mail issue. The Prestige Stamp Booklet comprises five panes - four containing all fifteen stamps between them as well as a pane of 1 x £1.45, 2 x £1.25, 3 x 20p and 2 x 1p Definitives surrounding a central label. The stamps are printed in Litho by International Security Printers.
The Gold 500 set illustrates each pane with a 22ct gold-blocked design framing an image of a famous landmark from the stories. Produced in a numbered limited edition of 500.
