Continuing Royal Mail's 'Music Giants' series this issue celebrates Sir Elton John on the 50th anniversary of his first solo recording and since he has gone on to achieve 37 gold and 27 multi-platinum albums. The Retail Booklet includes one 'Goodbye Yellow Brick Road' First Class Special Stamp and one 'Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy' First Class Special Stamp as well as four First Class NVI Definitives.
The two covers in the BSSP set each carry a single stamp and an image detailing interesting facts for the year in which the featured album was released - 1973 and 1975 - and an appropriate handstamp.
