A superb miniature sheet pays tribute to the Harrier Jump Jet - one of the most outstanding feats of British aeronautical engineering - which entered RAF service 50 years ago. It was the world's first vertical take-off and landing fighter jet and its Rolls Royce Pegasus engine won the very first MacRobert prize for engineering innovation in 1969.
The four stamps - two 1st class NVI and two £1.55 - depict the fighter in flight against the selvedge depicting designers' line drawings.
The Gold 500 cover carries a 22ct gold-blocked framed image of the aircraft in flight complemented by a pictorial High Wycombe handstamp. Numbered limited edition of 500.
