The Red Arrows are the official aerobatics display team of the Royal Air Force which was formed in 1964 to replace a number of unofficial teams from different RAF commands. Their aerobatic displays have become a summer fixture in the skies over Britain. The team is celebrated in a Retail Booklet featuring a pair of Red Arrow commemoratives flanking four 1st Class scarlet NVI definitives.
This cover carries a dramatic image of the view from a pilot's cockpit with an intricate 22ct gold-leaf design and an Apollo Way, London pictorial handstamp. The cover is further enhanced with a single stamp from the Isle of Man 2014 issue marking the Red Arrows 50th anniversary. A superb cover.
