HRH Prince Charles the Prince of Wales celebrated his 70th birthday on 14 November 2018 for which Royal Mail issued a special commemroative miniature sheet of six stamps including a brand new, hitherto unseen portrait taken earlier this year with his two sons in military uniform. The sheet comprises three 1st class and three £1.55 stamps depicting His Royal Highness on formal and informal family occasions.
The BLCS 5000 cover carries a superb image of The Prince in the Ceremonial Uniform of The Welsh Guards, of which he is Colonel-in-Chief, with the Garter Sash, breast stars and medals together with a London SW1A 70th Birthday handstamp.
