The penultimate commemorative issue marking the centenary of The Great War comprises six 1st class stamps bearing evocative images exploring six key themes that have run through this commemorative series. The Prestige Booklet of four panes contains all of the stamps from the 1917 issue along with a unique pane of definitive stamps and a pane containing four poppy stamps.
The main cover in this set of four carries eight barbed wire stem poppy stamps around a central label complemented by an image of US President Woodrow Wilson, who declared war on Germany on 6 April 1917. The cover carries a Burton-on-Trent pictorial handstamp.
