The 5th June 2017 marked the 50th anniversary of one of Royal Mail's most iconic stamps, the Machin definitive. To celebrate this design classic's anniversary, Royal Mail produced two miniature sheets, one showcasing the design process and the second charting it's evolution.
Here the sheet is mounted above a 22 carat gold bordered image of the Queen and the first Machin stamp. A 2007 Arnold Machin commemorative complements the cover. The sheet is cancelled with a pictorial Machin, Mayfair, London handstamp. Issued in a numbered limited edition of 500.
