The final Post & Go issue of 2016 features British hibernating creatures. The stamps feature the Grass Snake and three native mammals which hibernate throughout the winter months - the dormouse, the hedgehog and the Brown Long-eared Bat. The stamp images depict each animal in their hibernating state.
This coin cover encapsulates a 1924 penny, the centenary year of the RSPCA which has done much to increase public awareness of animal hibernation and the need to leave food - particuarly for hedgehogs, one of which appears in the image.
