On 24th May 1976 Concorde flew to the US for the first time. Transatlantic services to Washington DC spectacularly commenced with two Concordes, one in British Airways livery and one in Air France livery, landing at Dulles Airport after both aircraft had simultaneously flown over the capital. Our 100s cover bears a stamp and label from our special customised sheet with with a Filton, Bristol handstamp. One of the stunning 2003 Gibraltar Concorde commemoratives tied by an informative cachet completes the cover.
