LB&SCR 4-4-0 express passenger locomotive No. 64 'Windsor' has been chosen to mark The Queen's Diamond Jubilee as it draws together the only two British Queens to have reached this wonderful milestone and whose reigns embraced the country's 'Age of Steam'. The locomotive, built in 1901, was named for Windsor Castle - Queen Victoria's favourite residence - which in 1917 gave its name to the british ruling dynasty. The cover bears the stamps from the Diamond Jubilee miniature sheet together with the Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth II commemoratives from the Kings and Queens of England series tied by a pictorial Windsor Diamond Jubilee handstamp.
